Design / Digital Rendering
—
While working at Matter Design, the agency wanted to promote the fact they were on top of the latest technology, in this case, HTML 5. To promote this we were designing and developing an anagram game based on the company's motto, "Design Matters".
The game used HTML 5 and Java to create an interactive platform where the user could create anagrams using the letters from their motto.
I was asked to create the letter images for the game in a way that reflected the introduction video of their website. After playing around with some photography of the same laser cut, plastic letters that were used in the short video, I came to the conclusion that rendering each letter from scratch in photoshop, and creating a similar effect was the most appropriate way to create the best quality visuals for the game. After pitching the solution to the director he agreed and I started the process of rendering each letter.
These are screenshots of the game with the finished letters I created for it. The game is now also available as a free iphone application on the apple app store.
